Background

TWC 421: Web Authoring project to develop a promotional site map for Micah Hall's business. The deliverables were creating a persona, a narrative analyses, and Site Map with Useability Testing schedules. I used standards for creating compelling content that hooks readers and keep them reading. I crafted vibrant graphic in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator that connects audiences to the key messages of the business.

Development Document

Objective

Stir interest in audiences for the upcoming Hades 3 game installment and relay important messages about the release date. Advertisements must be under 15 seconds.

Synopsis

To be instantly recognizable to fan, I matched the style of previous Hades trailers and used the Hades main theme music. Cinema elements, with its dramatic text animation and booming bass sound effects, was used to set the tone. Popular “Glitch” animation effects were used to reference Chaos and peak intrigue in audiences.

Process

I broke down the key messages in the creative brief and laid out the storyboard to hit each key.

Started off with introducing the studio, then piquing interest with the popular character Thanos. Then inviting the audience to speculate by adding the character Chaos and the release date. All these elements needed to be on brand, evoke interest with mystery and spectacle, and hype current fans.

Used Photoshop to edit static official art and Adobe stock images. Assets were imported into After Effects to create animations and added special effects.

Rigorous research anchored decisions, aligning the motion graphics with strategic goals and ensuring the final work was relevant and impactful for its intended audience.

Together, these skills resulted in work that is not only aesthetically engaging but also purposeful and resonant.
